One of the most anticipated movies for 2011 is Thor. The movie is based on one of Marvel Comics’ most popular superheroes. Thor is a very interesting character because he is also a god. The movie itself is very interesting because it is being directed by noted actor and director Kenneth Branagh.
Recently, the second trailer for Thor was released and it shows a lot more about what you can expect from the movie. The trailer indicates that it may be taking some story ideas from the Ultimate Universe version of Thor. This looks like it’s going to be a blockbuster movie.
Now let’s proceed to a promising horror movie. In the story, Newlywed couple Ben and Jane decided to move to Japan due to a job opportunity, and that is a fashion shoot in Tokyo. On their way to a dark forest road, they experienced a tragic car accident that lead to the death of a young Japanese girl. When they gained their consciousness, they found no trace of the girl’s body. A bit disturbed, the couple went back to Tokyo to start anew. Meanwhile, Ben noticed stranged white blurs in majority of his fashion shoot pictures. Jane believes that the blurs is actually the little girl’s spirit seeking for revenge.
Now let’s proceed to one of the most talked about movie this year. Cloverfield is a story of five New Yorkers recording themselves in a hand held video camera. What you see in the movie is exactly the length of the DV Tape and sub-plot is shown to present some bits and pieces of the videos recorded earlier on the tape that is being recorded over.
In the opening sequel, an anonymous monster destroys a building, as they investigate the whereabouts of this unknown creature, the head of the statue of Liberty was cut off. The movie basically shows the adventures of the five new Yorkers as they try to escape and save a friend, which is the love interest of the main character.
In the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), this movie is the story of Jake Tyler (played by Sean Faris), a kid who has a troubled past. He is new in town, and he is portrayed as tough, leading with his heart and with his fist.
When attempts to fit in was not successful, and after being humiliated and defeated in a fight, his classmate introduced to him a sport known as MMA. Then he met his mentor Jean Roqua (played by Djimon Hounsou). It has become apparent to Jake that MMA is not really street fighting. Rather, it is a form of art that he wants to use and to master in defining who he really is.
In this movie, a lethal virus has spread throughout a major country and has already killed hundreds of thousands. To contain this newly identified Reaper, the authorities have brutally quarantined the country as chaos and fear spread worldwide. The literal exclusion has been successful for three decades, until the Reaper has violently resurfaced in a major city.
An elite team of specialists, including Eden Sinclair (played by Mitra), was urgently dispatched into the country that is still under quarantine. They have to retrieve a cure by all means necessary. Being shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must face the battle of a landscape that has become a nightmare.
In the movie Vantage Point, the main scene of this suspense/thriller is the assassination attempt on the president during the global summit. In the movie, Thomas Barnes (Quaid) and Kent Taylor(Fox) together with TV producer Rex(Weaver) and tourist Howard Lewis (Whitetaker) was caught up in a web of plot. The outlook of the four individuals collided and had a series of facts were revealed that each of their own perspective can only provide. The movie stars Dennis Quaid, William Hurt, Matthew Fox, Sigourney Weaver and Forest Whitetaker. The screenplay is written by Barry Levy and the movie was directed by Pete Travis.
