If you are a young woman, choosing which college to attend can be the most thrilling and exciting time of your life. This is unless your overprotective father comes into the picture, and he is not yet ready to let you go.

In this Disney family comedy, Melanie (played by Raven Symone) is very much excited to make her first big step towards freedom and independence when she planned a road trip for the “girls only” while checking out prospective universities. However, when her overpowering police chief father (played by Martin Lawrence) insists on escorting her, she will soon find that her dream trip has turned into a nightmare adventure full of hilarious comical turmoil.
