Bride Wars
The story is a typical one of unusual circumstances, two bets friends who schedule matrimonial vows on different dates that is somehow mixed up by clerical proportions. This event has them going for the same venue, same florists and same almost everything as they bring out their bridezilla attitudes to show who’s on top forgetting their friendship along the way. From sabotage to actual interference of the less than anonymous type, they end up battling through and through till they both get what they want, a memorable wedding for both of them as they realize the resurgence of something utterly forgotten, friendship, which they have shared since childhood and have always managed to fight for. To make the story short, friendship rules and the past is past. They get married with each giving away the other and as the story goes, they get their dreams fulfilled and just as the movie was about to end, we check into the couple a year or so later with them both being pregnant and both having the same due dates. What are the odds, well the story is after all one about friendship which most of us treasure and cherish for the rest of our lives. One of the most anticipated movies of 2009, Bride Wars promises to deliver, though reviews of the plot shows less than enthusiastic rankings so we’ll have to see.
